One gripe only... why do my vehicles explode so fast when i am not in them

If im rotating the circle and want to store RPGs somewhere or im setting up a remote hillside AA, i have to make sure i get all ammo out in a crate or a fob before the vehicle explodes.

Please can we get a longer timer or non exploding vehicles!! I feel like there is such a wealth of fun remote stategies i can do in such a large map but i need a vehicle to get back!!!. Thanks otherwise extremely excellent game, well done to the devs!!!
