I'm worried if the game goes viral on launch that people will have too high expectations in terms of the amount of content the devs can add to the game

The latest playtest went very well and mostly everyone was genuinely impressed with some minor tweaks needed before launch. Its clear to everyone now that Wardogs has a ton of potential and the main core gameplay is fun and I can absolutely see the possibility of this game going viral in the same way Arc Raiders did on launch.

I was a long time alpha/beta tester of r/ArcRaiders and the community was very supportive and wholesome during its testing phase, but Embark Studios are 2-3x bigger than Bulkhead in terms of staff and due to the game going viral the expectations for the amount of content expected for that game was incredibly high and Embark were unable to meet those expectations.

I know the Devs in this subreddit have echoed the fact they will not be able to release a large amount of content quickly during the early access phase and I think all of us here understand that, but if this game goes viral we will have a mass of people who will expect content drops on the same scale as Battlefield which is unrealistic for a small team.

Bulkhead are attempting something incredibly ambitious for the size of their studio and I think they should be praised but as a community we have to really embrace the idea that they aren't going to be able to make changes to the game as quickly as bigger developers.

The scale of Wardogs as-well probably slows down development a little as they are dealing with so many systems such as vehicles, three teams, destruction, economy and large dynamic combat and any change will need a lot of testing and time.

I have seen some feedback in Discord mainly around what people want before launch and some of its a bit crazy some people are expecting 2-3 maps and double the amount of weapons and vehicles which won't happen and it does concern me

I do think its great the developers are being super transparent with us about this, but I just really hope that the community doesn't go down the same route as r/ArcRaiders community by becoming quite toxic against the developers for being unable to release content quicker. I think as a community we should set these expectations among ourselves and new people to the community so we can stay wholesome and support the devs.
