How does the AT drone work?

I first encountered this thing at the very end of the playtest, and made it about 7 seconds into launching my first one, when the playtest ended.

It seems very expensive. How far can it fly? Can it one shot a tank? Is it very useful overall? If it could one shot self propelled guns, and had similar range, that would be quite useful indeed…
