Fun, low-budget activities for when you just lost 40k of kit in the HZ
In descending order of cost;
Helicopter, Helicopter : I promise learning to fly these things is easier than you think, and the world always needs more taxis. Plus, a LB costs less than a decent set of armour.
Truckin': Ural. Pallets. Fob. Just don't drive off a cliff, and keep an eye out for partisans.
Foblinmode : Grab a heavy hammer and drop wherever the fob is. The base will always need another indirect fire shelter. Slap enough of those bad boys down, and all the mortars in the world won't take you out.
Buggy Taxi: If your team can't keep a chopper in the air, this is the fastest (and most fun) way to get your team anywhere in the zone. Just make sure you grab a wrench!
Noob Tube: For just $800, the Verba allows you to constantly harass enemy pilots with an annoying beeping noise - and in the event that you manage to scare one into premature flarejaculation, you can actually launch the damn thing to next yourself a cool $1k profit. Watch out, though: heatseekers love nothing more than veering directly into the side of a building.
Jagd-U-Boot: With nothing but a double-barrel shotgun, a careful ear, and a lot of patience, it is possible to follow the sound of sniper fire to a free kill. This one means long walks on foot, preferably through dense forested or urban areas. The best part is, once you get your kill you've secured both a sniper's nest and a sniper's kit!
Perv in bush: Spotting is a valuable contribution - especially if your team has a mortar up or a few snipers. The key is to find elevation at an unexpected angle, stay low, and be patient. So long as you don't give away your position, you can rake in a shocking amount of money doing this. Remember to spot those choppers, and keep an eye out for drills and fobs; you can regonise them by the 3-story metal scaffolds they'll leave poking out from behind enemy fortifications.
Hide and go seek: Every 24 seconds you spend in the zone you earn at least $160. That's $4 per second, or $2400 every five minutes. Every body on the zone helps your team win, technically!
