New hot zone strategy has worked wonders for me

So the other day, me and my buddy joined a game and selected a squad that was nearly full. We notice all of them are together, communicating, and pushing around with the HZ.

We get a heli pilot to drop us off near them. It’s the best game i’ve ever played in War Dogs.

Everyone was talking, pinging enemies, reviving each other, sharing loot so we all had a defib if we wanted one. I made over 100K in a single life, only giving up once the entire match when we got wiped. We won that game by a lot, just deathballing around and killing everything around us.

It worked SO WELL that every game after felt hollow and so much harder, while also being less fun/profitable.

I realized it was definitely because we had a full squad of people all wanting to do HZ infantry stuff. But most squads, even when full, have people scattered around the map doing different roles.

Now i’ve come up with a great strategy that has worked well multiple games in a row. I will make my own squad once I land near the HZ at the start of the match. I’ll get in local chat to anyone else who landed near me and start saying “If you’re not in a squad or plan to do HZ infantry this game, join my squad Bravo! We will communicate and ping enemies and revive” or whatever squad i’m in. I keep saying this throughout the game to anyone doing infantry gameplay.

This has resulted in full squads every game, all of us running around together and talking, pinging enemies and just being massively successful. We don’t win every single time but it’s always been close games. I make WAY MORE money because we all revive each other. It’s great.

So if you’re going to do infantry stuff, try to rally an infantry squad together at the start of the game with people who are landing near the HZ. Has worked every time for me.
