Item costs should change based on how frequently they’re purchased
I think one way to create a more balanced system for tanks, helicopters, guns, armour, snipers, etc. would be to have an economy where item prices fluctuate based on how frequently they’re being purchased.
For example, if a lot of people are buying the Mosin or SKS, their prices could gradually increase, while less used guns become cheaper.
That would incentivise players to experiment with different weapons rather than everyone gravitating towards the same few meta items.
The same could apply to vehicles. If tanks are being purchased constantly, their prices could increase, while less used vehicles become cheaper. This could naturally help spread players across different vehicles and equipment without simply nerfing the popular options.
Obviously, there would need to be some limits to how much prices can fluctuate so things don’t become ridiculous, but I think a system like this could be an interesting way to balance overused items without directly nerfing them.
I’m sure there are probably better ways to implement something like this, but I’d be interested to hear what everyone thinks.
