Alright you got my attention
I had no intentions of being interested in this game. I tend to hate any kind of milsim type game play, even hard core modes turn me off, so my thoughts on this game was "I'm happy for those who likes this kind of thing but I'm just going to stick to the more arcadey fighting games like battlefield".
Man... after seeing the game play I didn't expect some of the things I saw to catch me like it has. I've been just watching people build F.O.B.s, transport troops, and transport supplies and I'm already hooked. I saw some of the fighting and it looks ok to me but I didn't expect some of those seemingly mundane things to make me so excited that I just preordered the early access.
The thing that first caught me about battlefield is the roles you can play. Lol, I even remember a little game on playstation 3 called Fat Princess where I spent my whole time building up our base to make it hard on the enemy team to attack us. I didn't want to be a liability but I was never a killing machine and I never focused on it. I sucked at fps games at first though but when I saw that I didn't have to be the star of the show and I could support the stars with health, ammo or spotting, I got hooked ever since on those roles. Now after seeing how you can play different rows in Wardogs with more depth, I have that same feeling of being able to do things that make it easier for those who just want to run out there and shoot people.
Now I know there is the closed beta and of course if I play it and find I don't like it I'll cancel the preorder but I feel like I've seen enough now to at least give it a chance. So like I said Bulkhead, you got my attention and I'm ready to see how you are going to keep it for a while.
