How impactful is the spotting system ?

I've been watching a couple of videos on youtube, and i saw someone using binoculars (but for a very short time).

I enjoyed spotting on bf1 (or bf5, i can't remember), and getting that little bonus when someone i spotted got killed.

How is it in Wardogs ? Do you get money ? XP ? Does your whole team sees it ?
