Personally, as a transport pilot for most of my time during the recent Beta. There simply aren't enough players per team for transporting troops or supply.
When the big transport helicopter has 13 seats, that's 3 heli trips at the start of the game, and after that there is simply not enough players to fill most helicopter trips, even when just using the little bird. Most trips after the very start, I ended up flying just 1 or 2 people with some supply crates to fill seats.
I understand that if your team is doing well and players aren't dying, there will be fewer troops to carry in general. However, the pilots are super competitive, and players can be impatient, generally leading pilots to rely on supply delivery for any income during the match. On that note, there aren't enough players buying supplies most of the time. There might be a small batch doing FOBs some games. Otherwise, it's next to none, and pilots have to rely on the supplies being delivered for income.
I refuse to overcharge my team more than necessary just for larger personal income. most rounds I played, I found myself taking crates of necessary supply's, being ammo, meds and build stuff, only to end most games in the negatives, only barely profiting from the end of game bonuses.
What are people's thoughts on increasing team sizes? Or how possible/balanced do we think it would be.
What are some other experiences people have had?
