Non-snipers infantry in the Hotzone (and in general) feels very high risk, low reward
I've been playing a lot of infantry in the Hotzone and the XP/money balance feels pretty off right now.
Infantry is probably the role taking the most direct risk. You're constantly exposed to gunfire, explosives, vehicles, etc. Meanwhile, things like mortars, building and provision/supply runs can generate a lot of XP and money while being relatively safe compared to actually fighting on the frontline.
For example, my medic loadout costs around 10k. That means I basically need to get 3-4 kills just to make my loadout back, or hope I get some good revives and the players I revive actually go on to kill other players. Those aren't exactly frequent scenarios, so it's pretty easy to end up losing money even when you're actively playing the objective and fighting.
I don't think support roles should be nerfed or anything, but infantry probably needs better rewards for the amount of risk involved. More XP/money from kills, objectives, frontline activity, or some kind of Hotzone combat bonus could help.
It also feels like this is turning the game into FOB vs FOB mortar combat more than actual infantry combat. A lot of the time it seems to come down to who gets their mortars firing first and who can land them more accurately, rather than which side is actually better at pushing and fighting in the Hotzone.
Right now, it feels like the safest way to progress is to stay behind the frontline and farm support activities, while actually pushing and fighting is the least profitable thing you can do.
High risk should come with high reward. Right now it feels more like the opposite.
