Why are Bandages so expensive?

Played my first hour last night and I tried to keep my loadouts as cheap as possible to get a feel for the gameplay before fully committing to good loadouts.

Why are bandages so expensive in early game? My gun is free, revive is free, ammo is $20, why the hell are bandages $100 a pop? That just seems super expensive for something that should be in everyone’s loadout.

I basically played every life with around 10 health last night because I didn’t have a way to heal myself and didn’t want to commit real money to a loadout and didn’t get healed by a teammate once.

Bandages should be $20 with a payout of $100 not $100 with a payout of $400. Bandages should be in everyone’s loadout.
