Looking at player behavior, we need more incentives to actually win the match.
I'm not unaware of team stacking, and try hard flaming and all the negatives that come with making win or lose the end all be all to the game but at this point it's obvious we need to increase the incentives for winning.
My friends who are arguably try hards usually only ever want to do what's best for the team to win in games similar to this. Right now, when they see half the team afk in the fob and 4 transport helis flying around doing nothing they just don't see the point in going for the win.
Instead we do some arguably fun stuff like ambushing tanks, counter sniping towers and taking over enemy FOBs but I feel like the longevity of the game is going to go away quick.
Came to a head yesterday when one of my friends was frustrated that we were losing 20/75/90 and instead of making a push for the hot zone our squad lead just led us to a house at a cross road to pick off infantry. My friend complained that we're going to lose the game and SL just responded that it's like 5k difference and it doesn't even matter. He has a point, and by not interacting with the objective you also don't get frustrated that your team isn't contributing.. its just more of a sandbox fuck it sort of milsim.
I think a bonus to the winning team of like 50% of your total profit for the match would go a long way in making people attempt to win the game instead of setting up the world's largest FOB at the soccer stadium for the 10th time today.
