No Linux support for WarDogs closed beta this weekend despite support in previous playtest.

Flakfire has announced on the official discord that the upcoming closed beta will not support proton/linux like it did in the previous playtest. Disappointing to lose support after it ran so well with proton on the previous beta. First game I have pre-ordered in years, I fell for the classic blunder of never pre-order a digital good that can change before release.

Speculation: Likely a different/new anti cheat is being tested as part of this closed beta, without support for Linux like EAC has.
