Question to those who played already about potential "griefing" long term
I was talking with a friend about the way the money meta will progress once the game hits early access. We initially had plenty of concerns, but as we watched various content creators, most of our concerns disappeared. The only one we are left with is about potential griefing to get the money. A few examples:
• Imagine you're down and set a bribe to revive you. A guy comes up and starts reviving you, another one sees the $500 bribe you put (purely an example), drags your corpse away from the guy already reviving and revives himself. While you got revived, one guy who started the process earlier got essentially griefed out of $500 plus the revive bonus. Have you guys seen this happen during the playtest? • Imagine you're driving a car, have the car unlocked for your squad of randoms. One guy is with you in said car. You stop behind enemy lines to place a mine on the road to cut off rotations. Your squad guy gets into a driver seat and drives over the mine. You technically just killed a teammate, so you lose money. Feels bad. (I'm aware this is a purely hypothetical, super-dickhead-energy type of situation. It's just an example to discuss). Those are just some of the examples we thought about watching the various videos, they may not happen at all. So the question for everyone is whether you saw some mechanics tied to the economy that could be easily abused the way they work right now?
Obviously, if you just get teamkilled, it's immediately punished by a cash deduction, so it's not really a concern for me, it happens. But perhaps there might be some other unintended consequences that you saw here and there. This is just purely for discussion, I've preordered the game anyway and super excited to jump in.
edit: another example I've seen in a video just now is that you place barbed wire and someone runs into it and dies - boom, minus $3,600 or something. Feels kinda weird.
