What is it people don't understand about wipes?

Every video about wardogs is just riddled with comments of people saying it shouldn't wipe, I won't play if it wipes, what if you kept all your unlocks? etc.

What in the world is so difficult to comprehend that you can't have a game with an economy that doesn't wipe every so often? The entire gameplay loop breaks down when everyone has infinite money, which everyone would if the game doesn't wipe every so often.

The game requires wipes to function, just like tarkov, just like any other game with an economy system unless you want them to just implement inflation and have an AK cost sixteen million dollars a few years down the road.
