Insanely underrated control option for flying: Radio controllers

I love flying helicopters in games and sims, so when I heard WarDogs would have semi realistic flight models and HOTAS support, I was all in. Tried out using my simulator setup with joystick rudders etc. It felt good when doing transport runs but when it came to shooting people down... it was not great. Smoothness of inputs didn't really help getting my crosshair on tiny targets running around the screen, so for that the joystick wasn't ideal. Then I tried a gamepad, it was definitely better, I could get my crosshair on target faster and quick inputs were easier, but now I lost all the smoothness I had with the joystick, since gamepads lack a lot of the resolution and range in the analog sticks that I had. That's when it came up to me, how could I get both? Twitchy controls, precision and smoothness for the best heli experience in WarDogs? I fly drones IRL and since my Radiomaster Pocket has an option to become a game controller when plugged in to the USB, I decided to give it a go.
Holy shit, this thing is nuts, I never felt so much in control at flying in a video game before, the first match with this setup I went 43/3. I could shoot people down with zero effort, the amount of tiny adjustments you can make with the radio controller sticks is unmatched.
If anyone has one of these bad boys at home I HIGHLY recommend you give it a shot, it will blow your mind.
